Connecting Our Network Members

Sector Communities

We believe that intentional, organized groups of people can harness the power of networks to achieve greater impact in the work they do.

For the past several years, we have sought to rise to the awesome challenge of harnessing the power that exists within the ALA Community. Engaging our stakeholders (i.e. ALA Alumni, friends of ALA and partner-organisations), helped us to understand the catalytic opportunity that lies within building networked communities of like-minded peers and stakeholders, joined together to collaborate and address some of Africa’s greatest challenges.

Six sector communities drive this agenda, namely AL for Education, AL for Health, AL for Governance, AL for Agribusiness, AL for the Arts, and AL for Infrastructure – each provides an ecosystem that enables network members (i.e. Alumni, thought-leaders, and captains of industry) to connect to each other, share ideas and collaborate on initiatives that drive impact in communities.

AL for

The Arts

Our art is a reflection of the society we live in. It guides our personal narrative and brings the story of our communities to life. AL for The Arts seeks to bring leading creative voices together, giving young leaders a chance to stamp their imprint on arts in Africa.
