The 2021 AL for Governance Network Gathering is themed: The Role of Youth in Strengthening the Public Sector. The purpose of our gathering is to discuss the paths in which African youth can contribute to the strengthening of the public service sector on the continent. We will also speak about evidence-based policymaking for inclusiveness, the challenges of attaching youth into the public sector and incentives that can be put in place to raise the talent profile of young people in the public sector.
The principal aim of this sector convening is to bring together government officials, young leaders, social entrepreneurs, private sector leaders, governance practitioners into one platform to engage in dialogue and identify areas of increasing youth contributions in the public sector.
Through in-depth panel discussions, workshops and networking opportunities, our Gathering will help you understand the changing trends across the public services sector and the functional silos in youth participation.
Five Reasons to Attend:
- Reignite old connections and forge meaningful new ones with fellow members;
- Discover how others in the community are addressing the role of youth in public service;
- Explore stress points, as well as successes within our network; and
- Exchange ideas to solve the most pertinent challenges; and
- Vote on one of the Finalists to win the “Little Bets Challenge”.
